Marit ​Meløe is a Norwegian movement artist and creator from Tromsø in the North of Norway. She graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2019 with a 1st Class Bachelor Honours Degree, and have the following years worked both nationally and internationally as a freelance dancer and creator. She is currently based in Oslo.

As a creative Marit is strongly inspired and moved by the physicality and functionality of the body. Its abilities and limitations interests her, looking into the affection of defection within the body and the opportunities that emerges. In the heart of her creative practise is improvisational based research. She uses imaginary and abstract ideas as inspiration in search of possibilities for movement within different states of minds. Her work explores human emotions in relation to nature and structures within the society.

Marit is currently performing her own collaborative work Alternative Landscapes on several locations in Norway, alongside with co-choreographer and dancer Anders Engebretsen. Marit is also working under Carl Aquilizan Dance and will perform his work dis_func during spring 2021.
