TANDEM is a playful, physical dance performance for children aged 9–12 by Meløe/Engebretsen. Using the tandem bicycle as a metaphor, we explore collaboration as both a practical and poetic premise: two bodies sharing momentum, rhythm, flow, and friction. The children sit on small, colorful "islands" in the gym, close to two dancers who sway, jump, sneak, and entangle themselves in a game of shifting rules and physical entanglements.

 

Through dance, electronic music, humor, and a sense of anticipation, the gym hall transforms into a choreographic landscape where students experience the dance up close—leaving room for their own associations, imagination, and interpretation.
